Four reasons why IPL 2024 might not be last season for Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma's supporters will be eager to witness his performance for MI in the upcoming IPL edition.
1. The reputation of an exceptional opener and a crowd-puller
Rohit has the image of a formidable opener who has the potential to take bowling units to the cleaners and amass runs at a swift pace for his side in the powerplay overs. As an opener, he has hit 2332 runs in 88 matches at a strike rate of 128.85 and an average of 28.08.
The 36-year-old’s vast experience in international cricket and IPL has also created his large fan base. Therefore, the star India captain’s fame not only benefits him but also the IPL franchise associated with him. Noting Rohit’s aura, Mumbai might not ccut ties with him after the 2024 season but if the MI takes that stern decision, there will be some franchises eager to buy the hitman in the 2025 IPL mega auction.
