ILT20 2023: 5 IPL players who are performing well in the tournament
Three IPL franchises own and operate a team in the inaugural season of the ILT20.
4. Shimron Hetmyer
Playing for Rajasthan Royals in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, West Indies international Shimron Hetmyer smashed 314 runs from 15 matches. The 26-year-old had an average of 44.86 and maintained a strike rate of 153.92, and these numbers have definitely motivated Gulf Giants to sign him for the inaugural edition of the ILT20.
He is currently averaging 43 and scoring runs at a strike rate of 186.95 in the tournament. The Caribbean has smashed 129 runs from five matches, which includes a cracking half-century against Desert Vipers. He is playing some brilliant cricket in the middle overs and that’s what the team demands of him.
When it comes to IPL, the player would hope to do better and finally deliver the trophy to Rajasthan Royals after 15 years. Other than being a destructive batter, he is also a gun fielder and thus would hope to contribute in more than one way.
