IPL 2023: 3 players who can replace Shreyas Iyer in KKR squad

1. Sheldon Jackson

The Saurashtra-born player has been one of the pillars of his domestic team’s success over the past few years. He has amassed 6608 runs in 90 innings in first class cricket at an average of 48.94 with 20 hundreds and 36 fifties to his name.

Jackson was a part of KKR in the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2021 seasons and has batted in just three innings scoring 38 runs. The wicketkeeper batter scored 588 runs in 15 innings in the recent Ranji Trophy season and helped Saurashtra win their second Ranji Trophy title.

Having been a part of KKR for so long, Jackson can be an ideal replacement for Iyer as he has seen the management up close and will easily fit in the team once again. The side will also get a wicketkeeping option with Jackson's inclusion in the squad.
