IPL 2023: 5 Players CSK might trade in trading window
Chennai Super Kings finished in the second-last position in IPL 2022 with just four wins in 14 games.
4. KM Asif
KM Asif is one of those Indian fast-bowlers who can clock speeds over 140 kmph consistently. The CSK management decided to re-invest in him and thus picked the speedster at the 2022 Mega Auction for a base price of 20 lakhs.
The 29-year-old has been associated with the Chennai team since 2018 but has just featured in three games and bagged four wickets at a high economy of 11.39. Further, Asif did not feature in any game during the recently culminated IPL season.
The Chennai side picked the likes of Mukesh Choudhary, Simranjeet Singh, and Tushar Deshpande to slot in the starting XI ahead of Asif. With the Kerela speedster being so behind in the pecking order, his exit from the Yellow army could be on the cards.
