IPL 2023: 5 Players LSG might trade in trading window
Lucknow Super Giants lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator of IPL 2022.
1. Manish Pandey
Manish Pandey has been among the top-run getters in the history of the Indian Premier League. The 33-year-old has aggregated 3648 runs in 160 matches at a strike rate of 121.52. Lucknow Super Giants picked him for a sum of INR 4.6 crore to add experience to their middle order.
However, the veteran batter failed to impress with his outings. He featured in six games and could only score 88 runs at a strike rate of 110.00. Following Manish's dismal outings, he was dropped from the side. On the contrary, Deepak Hooda had a phenomenal campaign in the middle order and amassed 451 runs in 15 games at a strike rate of 136.67.
Hooda’s prolific outings meant the Karnataka batter was not given another run. LSG’s batting line-up seems settled and Manish might not find a place in the next season as well. Thus, the team management might release him and free up some cash in their purse. Many other franchises might be willing to add the Indian batter to their line-up.
