4. Tushar Deshpande (Chennai Super Kings)
As per the legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar, Tushar Deshpande has risen to the challenge of bowling at the death overs. The Mumbai bowler was picked up by Chennai Super Kings at his base price of INR 20 lakhs during the mega auction in 2022. However, this was not on the brighter side, as he was picked for just two matches.
However, this time around, he has been a regular member of the lineup. Within four weeks, he has been in the race to win the Purple Cap. Even though the economy rate is on the higher side, his wicket tally of 17 does cover up his economy rate.
The main reason Tushar makes this list is because of the responsibility he has taken up. CSK’s premier bowler, Deepak Chahar, has missed a few games, but Tushar has been able to take up his role. The pacer has been able to shine under the leadership of MS Dhoni and the CSK management.
