Manish Pandey has been one of the most prolific run-getters in the history of the Indian Premier League.
1. Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bangalore assembled a well-rounded squad at the 2022 mega auction and reaped dividends of the same reaching the second qualifier of the tournament. However, RCB struggled to find a player who could act as a glue between Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik in the middle order.
The Bangalore franchise tried Suyash Prabhudessai for the role but the youngster failed to impress with his displays and could manage only 67 runs in five games at a strike rate of 113.56. Following Suyash’s poor outings, the team management turned to Mahipal Lomror. Though the Rajasthan-born struck at 150.88 in seven games, he scored just 86 runs.
Thus, a solid middle-order batter could be on RCB’s wishlist for the upcoming player auction. Given Manish is highly experienced when it comes to playing in the middle order, Faf du Plessis & co. could look to add the elegant batter to their roster and bid for him at the IPL 2023 auction.
