The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been the most competitive season so far.  We are almost at the business end, but we haven't seen any team being eliminated as yet. Among plenty of sensational batting performances, we have also seen a plethora of impactful bowling performances as well. Be it Piyush Chawla, Mohammed Shami, Tushar Deshpande, Suyash Sharma, and a few more making a difference for their franchises. Having said so, usually, the IPL veterans or international players are expected to control the games but for an uncapped player, it's quite a tough task to pull off the entire season.

5. Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana has been in his second IPL season. And this season he has come really well. Another Delhiite coming under the wings of Nitish Rana and performing is a treat to watch. He starts off with the new ball for his IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders. 

The express seamer didn't start for KKR from the first match. But in the limited opportunities that he got, he delivered his best. He has taken 4 wickets till now. Most importantly, he hasn't gone wicketless in any of the matches as yet.

This year onwards, he started playing first-class cricket for Delhi. Harshit Rana has been excellent in his first season of the Ranji Trophy. He's a young prospect and has the built quality to be a good seamer in the future. Interestingly enough, the 21-year-old has the former Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun in the KKR camp, the best person to guide him in preparing for international-level cricket.
