The Bengal pacer, Mukesh Kumar, got his first breakthrough in IPL this year. After being picked for the South Africa series, he was always under discussion. After doing well in the domestic circuit and for India 'A', he got close to playing for India, indicating he's special. The experienced pacer has been steaming for Bengal for the last couple of years.

Although, he hasn't had a great start to his IPL career. But he has vast experience, he bowled some crucial last overs for Delhi Capitals. He has got a raw pace and can get the ball to move. This year, he has been struggling a bit. But a bowler like him knows how to come back.  in the ongoing IPL 2023, so far the pacer has picked six wickets from eight appearances.

He can have a trajectory like Mohammed Shami as he didn't explode immediately in the IPL but gradually got into things. As a result, Shami has been a match-winner for the Gujarat Titans franchise in the ongoing season as well. It may be tough for Mukesh to break the doors in T20s at the moment but the pacer has the talent to find a place in the national side in the T20I set-up in the future ahead.
