IPL 2023: Best bowling performance from third week
The third week of the IPL saw some phenomenal bowling performances that set the stage ablaze.
2. Sam Curran 3/31 vs Lucknow Super Giants
Sam Curran bagged 3 wickets against Lucknow Super Giants and displayed a terrific performance for his side at a key moment when it was needed. Sam Curran's effective bowling for Punjab Kings during the final few overs helped PBKS to dominate proceedings in LSG's backyard.
PBKS kept Lucknow Super Giants down to 159/8 and a major reason behind the same was Curran's brilliant spell. Sam Curran removed Krishnappa Gowtham and Yudhvir Singh on consecutive deliveries and prevented LSG from going big.
In the absence of regular skipper Shikhar Dhawan, Curran was asked to lead the side against the KL Rahul-led LSG and Curran led from the front to deliver the magic for his team.
