IPL 2023: Best bowling performance from third week
The third week of the IPL saw some phenomenal bowling performances that set the stage ablaze.
1. Mohammed Siraj 4/21 vs Punjab Kings
Mohammed Siraj took four wickets against Punjab in match no. 27 of the ongoing season. After Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, each scored fifty, RCB put on 174 on the board. Despite the efforts of Prabhsimran Singh and Jitesh Sharma, the hosts were unable to match the score.
Siraj was able to find his line and length quickly and was swift in putting the Punjab batters in a spot of bother. It was a result of fine bowling that none of the PBKS batters were able to get him away.
With the second delivery of PBKS' innings, Siraj struck gold for RCB and trapped Atharva Taide. Siraj struck again to send Liam Livingstone back tot he dugout and also claimed the wickets of Harpreet Brar and Nathan Ellis to put an end to PBKS' hopes of winning the game. Siraj is one of the top contenders of the IPL 2023 Purple Cap as he has already claimed 13 scalps.
