Josh Hazlewood is serving Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2022. The Australian bowler is an essential part of Challengers as he leads the team’s pace attack with his huge experience and magnificent bowling skills. At the IPL 2022 mega auction, the lanky pacer was picked by the Challengers for INR 7.75 crores.
In 2020, the veteran was seen for the first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey. However, he delivered his best performance to Super Kings in 2021, when he powered the team to the title win, claiming 11 wickets in nine contests at an economy of 8.37.
These numbers of the Aussie stalwart attracted RCB to go all out for him at the 2022 mega auction. The three-time IPL champions didn’t hesitate to spend a huge amount on him. Delivering his services to RCB for the first time, Hazlewood hunted 20 batters in 12 matches at an economy of 8.11.
