Rajasthan Royals had a bittersweet time during the sixth week of the Indian Premier League. Even though few of their players clicked in the games, they failed on two occasions as a team. Talking about impactful players, their skipper, Sanju Samson, was in sublime touch throughout the week.

In the first game of the week, Samson managed to score 30 runs from 20 balls and was the only impactful contributor for the Royals during their game against Gujarat Titans. Later on, Samson managed to score a quickfire 68 from 38 balls as Rajasthan managed to post a strong total of 214 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Unfortunately, this was not enough as Sandeep Sharma overstepped and bowled a no-ball, following which, Abdul Samad smashed a six off the subsequent free-hit to finish off the game.

But, this should not take the limelight away from Sanju Samson. Mainly because, even after the no-ball debacle, he managed to lead from the front and thanks to his captaincy, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to put up just 149 runs in their 20 overs. In return, Samson and Jaiswal went on to smash the KKR bowlers as the skipper scored 48 runs from 29 balls in the chase.
