5. Devon Conway (Chennai Super Kings)
Devon Conway has been able to provide terrific starts to the four-time champions in this edition of the IPL. Currently, his in the third position in the list of Orange Cap contenders.
Within nine games, Conway has scored 414 runs with a terrific average of 59.14. His personal highest score came against the Punjab Kings in the 41st match of the season. While batting first he scored 92* runs from 52 balls with a strong strike rate of 176.92.
However, this was not enough for the Super Kings as the Punjab Kings managed to chase down a huge target of 201 runs on a tricky wicket. An inspired counterattack from Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, and Jitesh Sharma helped the Punjab Kings to bag valuable points. But Conway’s efforts were not overshadowed as he won the Player of the Match award for his valuable innings.
