IPL 2023: Top 5 batting performances from third week
From Devon Conway's masterclass to Venkatesh Iyer's blazing ton, there have been several sensational knocks in the third week of the competition.
3. Harry Brook 100*(55) vs KKR
At the Eden Gardens, Harry Brook slammed Kolkata Knight Riders for his first century of the IPL in just 55 balls. The English international has blown hot and cold thus far and will look to make the most of the remaining chances and justify his price tag (INR13.25 crore)
Brook was moved up to the opener position in the previous game against PBKS, where he scored 13 runs and 3 while batting in the middle of the order. Brook destroyed KKR’s bowling unit into pieces, scoring runs against their key bowlers.
As SRH were being put to bat by KKR, Brook finally found his groove in his fourth appearance. In his two-over stint in the Powerplay, the Englishman immediately warmed to KKR pacer Umesh Yadav, smashing three fours and two maximums.
