IPL 2024: 5 base price players who justified their price tags in tournament's three weeks
Some low-priced players have performed magnificently in the marquee T20 competition, thus far.
2. Phil Salt
Phil Salt has done his job efficiently as an opener for KKR. After getting unsold at the business event in Dubai, Kolkata signed up the England opener for his basic amount of INR 1.5 crore, as a replacement for his compatriot Jason Roy. The right-handed batter has played four games and has hit 102 runs with a fifty against SRH in his team’s opening contest.
Against RCB, he continued his excellent run, producing an effective knock of 30 runs off just 20 balls. His batting efforts have played an instrumental role in helping Kolkata to be among the top four in the points tally, so far.
