South Africa’s left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi’s name was also announced in the auction but he also unfortunately failed to attract buyers. Shamsi, who served Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the past, went under the hammer for a reserved maximum amount of INR 50 lakh.

Shamsi has taken only three wickets in the cash-rich league, at an expensive economy of 9.05. His dismal record in the league could be a major reason for his failure to get fetched at the business event. Discussing his recent performance, the 33-year-old looked ineffective against India in the One-Day International (ODI) and T20I series played at home in December.
