IPL 2025 Playoff Scenarios: Remaining matches and maximum points needed for each team
The maximum points a team can achieve and their remaining fixtures in the IPL 2025.
Over five weeks of action have been witnessed in the 18th edition of the IPL in 2025, as of April 27. All teams have completed at least eight matches and will have completed their nine games by the 28th of April. With a minimum of five matches left to be played for each side, the scenarios for the playoffs are heating up, with many teams having their say on qualification.
Only a few teams have a nearly impossible case to qualify for the playoffs. A couple of teams are just a step closer to qualifying for the playoffs. Most of the teams are yet to find a smooth path towards their qualification, which leads to excitement towards the rest of the tournament. At this point, there are at least eight teams in contention to make it to the playoffs.

Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are currently in the last position in the points table. In their nine matches, the five-time champions have four points, two wins, and seven losses, with a negative net run rate of -1.302. In their remaining five matches, considering CSK wins all five, the maximum number of points they could claim would be 14.
