IPL: 5 batters who can finish their careers as leading run-getter in tournament
IPL has witnessed unrealistic levels of batting performances and has seen players becoming superstars overnight.
3. David Warner (6211 Runs in 173 innings)
David Warner is a stylish and aggressive left-handed batter from Australia who has made his name in the IPL with his quick-fire and match-winning knocks for all the franchises he has played for. He remains in the third position for the most runs scored in IPL and the hunger for runs shown by him is second to none. And the ability to come out with great knocks against tough bowling lineups has been a highlight of his IPL career.
Warner, who is currently 36 years old has surely another couple of IPL years left in him. The batter who has piled up 6211 runs has the least number of matches against his name in comparison to other batters in the list and that shows the consistency with which he has performed in the tournament. The batter had his best season in 2016 when he was the second highest leading scorer with 848 Runs and won the IPL with the SRH side.
The consistency with which Warner has played all along makes the left-hander a force to reckon with in the coming years and he can easily finish his IPL career at the top of the list as the leading run-scorer.
