Cricket is ideally a battle between bat and ball but with time, the game has favoured the batters more, and even fans have showered their love over batters when they hit the bowlers out of the park on a consistent basis rather than cheering a bowler for an aggressive spell in the middle or for containing the batter from hitting freely. 

With the modern-day rules and stadium dimensions giving batters the freedom to hit all around the park, bowlers feel the heat to come out with performances that could get them some say in the game. 

However, the IPL has seen more high-scoring games than low-scoring games and even big scores have been chased down with ease and overs to spare. In between all this madness, the bowlers were being punished even when they bowled good balls and welcomed some unwanted expensive spells to their names.

5. Umesh Yadav | 0/65 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (2013)

Umesh Yadav has grown in stature and has become a tough hit the deck with sheer pace kind of bowler for India. Umesh always made the noise in the cricket set-up with his raw pace and was seemed as an x-factor in the Indian fast bowling unit. Although, at the beginning of his career, he did find it a bit tough to find his feet, however, he has worked hard in his fitness and skills and became the spearhead of the Indian bowling unit along with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami.

Umesh Yadav debuted in the 2010 season of IPL when he was roped in by Delhi Daredevils (DD) for his steaming pace. Representing DD, in the 2013 edition of IPL, Umesh was up against the batting lineup of RCB, which consisted of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle. Virat Kohli, who was also a hot favorite among the franchises at that time, stole the limelight with his innings of 99 of 58 balls which helped RCB post a total of 183/4. 

Kohli was brutal against Umesh as he belted the fast bowler for 23 runs off the final over of the RCB innings. Umesh was struggling to contain the batsman as the small Delhi ground and the class of Virat Kohli was not helping him to get away with his share of overs without conceding a lot of runs. Umesh ended up with a figure of 0/65 in his 4 over and had a forgettable day on the field.
