1. Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan has been a giant of a player in the shortest format of the game. The 35-year-old has featured in 383 T20 games and amassed 6301 runs at a strike rate of 122.18. On the bowling front, he has bagged an insane tally of 433 wickets at an economy of 6.82.

The veteran cricketer has been a match-winner for Bangladesh across formats, with both bat and ball. In the T20Is, Shakib has amassed 2243 runs in 109 matches at a strike rate of 121.76 and picked up 128 wickets at an economy of 6.83.

The ace all-rounder can shepherd the innings beautifully and can also swiftly switch gears to dismantle any bowling attack. With the ball, Shakib has the might to bowl at any phase of the game. Moreover, his inclusion brings a wealth of experience to a team.

A player of Shakib’s caliber is an asset to a side and one thought that the franchises would go into a bidding war to pick him. But surprisingly, no team apart from Kolkata Knight Riders were interested in signing the ace all-rounder and the southpaw fetched only INR 1.5 crore at the auction.
