Before the massive business event in Dubai, certain releases by franchises left the fans shocked.
1. Josh Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood was a vital part of RCB’s pace attack in the last two seasons and he played his role efficiently. In the couple of years, he claimed 23 wickets at an economy of 8.16 in 15 games. Donning the RCB jersey for the first time in 2022, he ended up as the second-highest wicket-taker for the team, with 20 wickets in 12 matches.
In 2023, he missed the first half of the league due to a heel injury. On November 26, RCB came up with its retention list and Hazlewood’s name was missing from it.
The Australia speedster’s exclusion from the squad shocked RCB supporters as he looked remarkable with the ball in the 2023 World Cup. In the Aussie side’s record-extending victory, he chipped in with 16 wickets in 11 matches at a miser economy of 4.81.
