Sachin Tendulkar provided his services to Indian cricket efficiently during his 24-year career. In One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Tests, he ended up as the leading run-scorer with 18426 and 15921 runs respectively. Riding on his batting heroics, India lifted their second World Cup trophy in 2011.  

Tendulkar’s role was unprecedented in raising the status of the Indian team in international cricket. After ten years of his retirement, he still resides in the hearts of Indian cricket team fans. On social media, he has got the support of 118.7 million fans.

After India’s success in the 1983 World Cup, Tendulkar’s contribution made cricket the most loved sport in the country. The iconic former India player holds the record for scoring the most centuries and fifties in the international circuit. Indian cricket team fans recall his achievements and lament his retirement to this very day.
