Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is an important cog in the five-time World Champions’ machine. His more-than-medium pace bowling and powerful hitting in the lower order provide a lot of cushioning to captain Pat Cummins. However, he has been plagued by a hamstring injury during the ICC World Cup 2023.

He has played six matches and in those, scored 87 runs with a strike rate of 112.98. With the ball, he has four wickets to his name. Stoinis had experienced hamstring issues during the India ODI series before the World Cup and missed two matches. He then missed both the practice matches and the opening encounter against India.

Australia will hope Stoinis’ hamstring stays strong as South Africa are a rampaging side, which lost just two matches in the tournament and their batting is at full flow.
