PBKS 5 best bowling performances of all time in IPL
With cricket supporters heading towards the 2024 IPL, let’s discuss some of the greatest bowling performances of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL.
4. Marcus Stoinis’ 4/15 against Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2016
Marcus Stoinis made his IPL debut in 2016 for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Playing his maiden season, the Australia all-rounder registered his best bowling figures against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
Batting first after winning the toss, MI lost their top-order batters Unmukt Chand, Ambati Rayudu, and Rohit Sharma within 10 overs. Mumbai found themselves in trouble when Stoinis wreaked havoc on their middle order. The speedster got the prized scalps of Nitish Rana, Jos Buttler, Krunal Pandya, and Kieron Pollard.
In his four-over spell, the Aussie gave away only 15 runs and picked up four wickets at a superb economy of 3.75. His bowling effort helped Punjab restrict Mumbai to only 124 and chase down the low target comfortably in 17 overs with seven wickets in hand.
