3. Prithvi Shaw vs Assam (134 runs off 61 balls)

Prithvi Shaw is one of the most destructive opening batters in Indian cricketing circles. In the ongoing season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the 22-year-old has been at his best aggregating 285 runs in seven games for Mumbai at a phenomenal strike rate of 191.27.

In the group-stage match against Assam, Shaw was in pristine touch and put up an exhibition of boundary-hitting. He smashed 134 runs off just 61 deliveries which comprised 13 fours and nine maximums. This was the Indian batter’s maiden century in the T20 circuit.

Courtesy of Shaw’s blistering century, Mumbai posted a mammoth total of 230 runs on the board. This proved too much for Assam as they were bowled out for 169 runs in 19.3 overs. The flamboyant batter would look to continue his prolific run and stage a comeback to the international side.
