T20 World Cup 2022: 3 Players who can replace Jasprit Bumrah in India's squad
India will kick-start their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan on October 23.
2. Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar has been among the most lethal swing bowlers in the Indian circuit at the moment. The 30-year-old has been a wrecker-in-chief with the ball and has shown his mettle at the international circuit as well.
The Agra-born has made 22 appearances for India in the shortest format and bagged 28 wickets at an economy of 8.08. In the first match of the ongoing T20I series against South Africa, he wreaked havoc with the ball taking two wickets in his first two overs.
Chahar has been part of the stand-by players for the T20 extravaganza in Australia and given that he has been in top bowling form, India could draft him into the main squad. Moreover, he is no muck with the bat either and his inclusion adds to the batting depth.
