New Zealand - 8.5/10

Jimmy Neesham and Glenn Phillips will have the responsibility of finishing games for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup. Both the hard hitters are an asset to New Zealand’s lower middle-order and most importantly, have the ability to change the complexion of the game dramatically.

Phillips, has played nine T20I matches for New Zealand in the year 2022 so far and scored 319 runs at a strike rate of 145. Amassing an average of 53.16 during the nine games, the youngster has shown outstanding consistency.

However, most of the matches that he has played this year have been against the associate nations. Thus, it still needs to be seen if he can replicate his form against quality opponents in a global tournament or not.

On the other side, Neesham has been one of the best finishers in T20I cricket lately. In the ten T20I matches played this year, the Kiwi has racked up an average of 38.20 and a strike rate of 207.60. This proves the kind of damage he can do and also with the kind of experience he has, Neesham is going to be a dangerous player in Australia.
