T20 World Cup 2022: Team-wise youngest player in the tournament
Many talented youngsters would be making their World Cup debut in the marquee tournament in Australia.
3. Arshdeep Singh (IND) | DOB - February 05, 1999
Arshdeep Singh broke into the national side on the back of stellar performances in the Indian Premier League. In the last two seasons for the Punjab Kings, the 23-year-old took 28 wickets in 26 matches at an economy of 7.98 which is phenomenal considering he bowls most of the overs at the death.
The Punjab pacer carried his good form to the international circuit. In the 11 appearances for the Men in Blue, he has taken 14 wickets at an economy of 7.38. Arshdeep has displayed his ability to bowl pin-point yorkers at will and this has made him tough to tackle at the fag end of the innings.
The left-arm pacer’s arrival has given the Indian bowling attack more variety. Arshdeep’s composure at the death makes him a stand-out bowler and the youngster has been lauded by the team management for his temperament. The team management will hope the yorker-specialist comes good in the upcoming marquee event.
