Rajasthan Royals made history as they won the inaugural season of the IPL under the late Shane Warne. The Australian stalwart gave opportunities to several youngsters, and they repaid the faith. Warne wasn't only a captain on the field, but he was a leader in the dressing room.

Warne instilled belief in his team and impressed everyone with his captaincy acumen. He played in the first four seasons of the tournament for the Royals and finished with 57 wickets at an average of 25.39 and an economy rate of 7.27. After his retirement, he continued his association with the franchise as a mentor and a brand ambassador.
