5. Mushfiqur Rahim’s 46* vs India, Asia Cup 2012
In the 2012 Asia Cup, Bangladesh showed signs of improvement in ODIs by playing some good cricket against all three Asian giants - India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. In the fourth game of that tournament, Mushfiqur Rahim played a special innings against the Men in Blue.
Chasing 290 to win, Bangladesh put up a few solid partnerships - 113-run stand between Tamim Iqbal and Jahurul Islam and a 68-run stand between Nasir Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan. But after Shakib perished in the 42nd over it seemed that the match might slip away from Bangladesh's grasp. But in came skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and with the arrival of Rahim at the crease, the Bangla fans expected him to take the team home and he did the same.
With 65 required off 49 deliveries, Rahim had to take risks and he did the same by going ballistic against the Indian bowlers. With his rapid innings of 46* off 25 balls, Bangladesh wrapped up the match in their favour with five wickets to spare.
