2. Shakib Al Hasan vs Pakistan, T20 World Cup 2012

Shakib Al Hasan is a giant of a player in the T20 circuit. He has amassed 2243 runs in 109 matches at a strike rate of 121.76 and bagged 128 scalps at an economy of 6.83. The 35-year-old has played many blistering knocks for Bangladesh in his T20I career thus far and one of his memorable innings came in the 2012 T20 World Cup against Pakistan.

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat. It was not going to be an easy task to succeed against the well-oiled Pakistan bowling attack. But Shakib was up for the challenge. The southpaw put on a show with the bat and struck 84 runs in 54 deliveries, which comprised 11 fours and two sixes.

Riding on Shakib’s majestic innings, Mushfiqur Rahim & co. posted a competitive total of 175 runs on the board. However, the Bangladesh bowlers were not consistent enough with their lines and lengths, and the Men in Green chased down the target with eight balls to spare.
