As 2024 draws to a close, CricTracker takes a look at players who scored the most number of runs across formats in the year.
3. Pathum Nissanka
Pathum Nissanka went from strength to strength this year and established himself as a reliable top-order batter in the international circuit. He is a technically solid batter who scores runs at a fair click by playing orthodox shots, even in the shortest format.
Nissanka scored 1659 runs this year in 41 innings for Sri Lanka. He registered three centuries in ODIs in 2024, including an unbeaten 210 against Afghanistan in Pallekele in February. Nissanka accumulated a total of three ODI centuries and one Test century.
