West Indies vs India 2023: 5 India players to watch out for in ODI series

1. Shubman Gill

For the next few months, all eyes will be set on Shubman Gill as Indian cricket team supporters are expecting him to do huge and become the next batting maestro for India in international cricket. As the team is heading towards World Cup 2023, expectations from Gill are high. Taking it as a challenge, the right-handed batter will strive to prove his efficiency to the team.

In the upcoming ODI competition against the West Indies, Gill’s responsibility will be to provide explosive starts to the team with his bat. This year, he grabbed a lot of eyeballs with his scintillating double ton against New Zealand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.  

With his marvellous knock, he also became the fastest Indian to cross the 1000-run mark in ODIs. However, in the Australia series, he failed to be effective with his bat, scoring only 57 runs in three ODIs. Against the Caribbean side, he will look to be at his best with his aggressive batting attitude.
