Beth Mooney has been a bankable name in the international arena. She has featured in 57 ODIs and aggregated 1941 runs at an excellent average of 52.45. In the shortest format, the 29-year-old has plundered 2144 runs in 77 T20Is at a strike rate of 125.30.

Mooney was at the top of the run-getters chart in the T20 World Cup 2020 with 259 runs to her name in six matches. Her exploits with the bat were instrumental in Australia clinching their fifth world T20 Cup. As Meg Lanning & Co. bid to defend their crown in the upcoming marquee tournament, the onus will be on the opening batter to deliver the goods with the bat.

Mooney has been in a rich vein of form and is entering the tournament having smashed 191 runs in three games in the recently concluded ODI series against Pakistan. Therefore, she could shine in the T20 World Cup 2023 and again become the top-run scorer of the global event.
