9. Sophie Ecclestone
Sophie Ecclestone has been England’s mainstay with the ball across formats. She has featured in 55 ODIs and bagged 87 wickets at an economy of 3.68. When it comes to the T20 format, the ace spinner has picked up 97 scalps in 70 matches at an excellent economy of 5.76.
Ecclestone put up a bowling masterclass in the T20 extravaganza in South Africa. She bamboozled batters with her variations and wreaked havoc with the ball. The 23-year-old was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, with 11 scalps to her name in five games, and that too at a terrific economy of 4.15.
When England squared off against Ireland in the sixth match of the high-profile T20 competition, Ecclestone weaved her magic and bagged three wickets while giving away just 13 runs in her four-over spell. She was also superb in the semi-final clash against South Africa and ended the game with fantastic figures of 4-0-22-3.
