7. Chloe Tryon
Chloe Tryon is a proven performer for South Africa across formats. She has scored 1652 runs in 97 ODIs at a strike rate of 100.00 and bagged 43 wickets at an economy of 4.23. Talking about the T20 format, she has piled on 1036 runs in 88 matches at a strike rate of 137.21 and taken 27 scalps at an economy of 7.02.
Tryon has been a match-winner for South Africa with both bat and ball and her performance was key to South Africa’s chances in the T20 World Cup 2023. However, the ace all-rounder did not perform as per her standards and had a quite mediocre campaign in the marquee event, mainly with the bat.
Barring her match-winning performance in the seventh match of the tournament against New Zealand which saw her score 40 runs off 34 balls and bag two wickets, Tryon did not have much impact in the competition. Overall, she could manage only 79 runs in six games at a strike rate of 108.21 and bag three scalps in those outings.
