In the WPL auction, Taniya Bhatia’s name will also feature among 409 names to get a buyer. The India wicket-keeper batter has kept her base price INR 30 lakh. Back in 2018, she made her international debut in a WT20I game between India Women vs South Africa Women at Potchefstroom.

Since then, Bhatia has featured in 52 games in which she has accumulated only 172 runs in 52 matches at a strike rate of 91.00. In her five years of women’s international cricket career, she has played a few match-winning knocks in WODIs. However, the 25-year-old has failed to do the same for the national team in WT20Is.

At the upcoming event, she may face a snub from the franchises due to her colossal starting price and underwhelming WT20I numbers. Her dismal batting average of 9.05 in the shortest form of the game may also make the matter worse.
