WPL 2024: 3 Players who were underutilized by GG
Gujarat Giants had a torrid campaign once again as the side finished at the bottom of the points table at the end of the season.
1. Lea Tahuhu
The New Zealand pacer was the replacement for Lauren Cheatle after the latter was ruled out due to a medical procedure to cure skin cancer in her neck. The cricket experts had believed that it was the best option to sign Tahuhu and might even start for the team in most of the matches. However, that wasn’t the case as she barely made any appearance for the Gujarat Giants franchise.
Lea Tahuhu managed to play just two games throughout the season and could only muster one wicket this season. Given the kind of experience she brings, she was one of the players who should have started more this season. Gujarat Giants had a tough time defending totals and with such an experienced player within their ranks, the franchise would have been able to convert the close losses into wins.
