WTC Final 2023: Three players who can replace Jaydev Unadkat in Team India's squad
Jaydev Unadkat endured a left-shoulder injury while training in the nets for LSG.
1. Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma is relishing arguably one of the finest comebacks in the ongoing 16th edition of the IPL. The veteran pacer claimed his first scalp after a record 718 days against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), donning the Delhi Capitals (DC) outfit.
Since then, the pacer has played four games in the top-tier league and already got six wickets under his belt. In addition to this, he has also been economical in all his outings which has been a big plus point for the franchise.
With Unadkat’s injury in place, Ishant has plenty of experience of playing in the big matches and the case in London will be no different. He last donned the whites for India in November 2021 in the first Test against New Zealand but failed to get any breakthroughs in the contest.
Considering his current form coupled with vast experience, the think tank could be tempted to think about having Ishant back in the set-up for the WTC Final.
