WTC final: 3 players who can replace KL Rahul in India's squad
KL Rahul injured himself while fielding during match 43 of the IPL 2023.
2. Sarfaraz Khan
Srafaraz Khan has been knocking on the doors of Team India for a long time but has still not been able to break into the Indian Test team. In the nine innings played in Ranji Trophy 2022-23, Sarfaraz scored 556 runs at an average of 92.66 with three hundreds and one fifty to his name.
The 25-year-old has been having a dream run in Ranji Trophy since 2019, as he has amassed 2466 runs at a mind-boggling average of 123.3, with 10 centuries and five fifties to his name.
Courtesy of his incredible domestic run, Sarfaraz has the second-highest average (79.65) in first-class cricket only behind the legendary Don Bradman’s 95.14. It’s high time for the selectors to give a chance to Sarfaraz to prove his worth at the international level.
