Wrist spinners are currently ruling world cricket and this Afghan lad surely tops the list. Be it those unplayable googlies or the fiery leg-breaks, Rashid Khan made his deliveries do the talking during the whole of 2018. Despite being in the scene for a few years now, Rashid continues to remain a mystery for most batsmen even from the top teams.

In the shorter formats where the batsmen cannot even afford to play him out, the 20-year-old is a striker bowler for his team. He dictates terms from one end and with his fast arm action and tough to decipher variations has emerged on top more often than not. Rashid has bagged 48 wickets in 20 ODIs at a demanding economy of 3.8, this year.

The flamboyant cricketer was consistently among the wickets, which helped Afghanistan pull off some unbelievable results. He enjoyed his outing in the Asia Cup as well, taking 10 wickets in the five matches. His fabulous numbers with the ball have kept him stranded at the number one spot in ODI bowling rankings.
