Trent Boult, widely known for his sharp swinging deliveries, calls for one of the best left-arm bowlers at the moment. The New Zealander has the uncanny ability to switch between the formats at ease. He has been an all-format player for the Kiwis. Boult played an influential role in New Zealand’s success in the year 2018.

He featured in 26 matches for the Black Caps and the left-arm paceman scalped 57 wickets at an average of 28.00 and a strike-rate of 39.4. He also grabbed two 5-wicket hauls in the year 2018.

With 57 wickets against his name, the seam bowler who predominantly relies on swing happens to be the highest wicket-taker for New Zeland this year. Hence, on the back of an outstanding year on the field, Trent necessitates a place in this XI.
