Winning skipper KL Rahul said:
"Always love being around the boys. Nice to get back on the cricket field after a disappointing world cup. Have played with a lot of them in the IPL, nice to get out here and play with them. Usually my message is to always enjoy the game, to give your best and not worry about the rest. Theyāre great cricketers but few of them havenāt played internationally so itās about giving them some time to adjust. Itās about making their roles clear and they all gave their 100% so nothing more I can ask. Sanju has been a phenomenal performer in the IPL, unfortunately hasnāt got a lot of chances at the top of the order for various reasons but nice to see him do well today," Rahul said.
POTS Arshdeep Singh said:
"There was always something in the wicket throughout the day. Sometimes it was gripping and stopping. The plan was simple, it was to bowl wicket-to-wicket and get LBWs and bowleds. IPL has been a very good platform for us youngsters, there isnāt a big gap between IPL and international cricket. You understand the mindset of international cricketers and it helps. We are all loving the chances we got. Weād love to give our all in the future as well and do well," Arshdeep said.
POTM Sanju Samson said:
"Proud of it, specially considering the result as well. Have been working hard, not just for the past couple of months so itās nice. This format gives you some extra time to understand the wicket and the bowlerās mindset. Batting at the top of the order gives you those 10-20 extra deliveries. The whole country is very proud of how Tilak Verma has stepped up, lot more to expect from him. The seniors have set the standards of Indian cricket and the juniors are coming in and doing the job. Itās not very easy, traveling in between and playing every 2-3 days but theyāre getting the job done," Samson said.
KL Rahul's priceless gesture wins hearts on internet
India beat South Africa by 78 runs after a batting collapse that saw the Aiden Markram-led side go from 141/2 to 218/10. Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh were the stars of the show in Paarl with a century and a four-fer. India skipper, KL Rahul was seen signing autographs post-game and also gave away his pads to young kids at Boland Park.
Losing skipper Aiden Markram said:
"We were certainly up for it, always a nice feeling in a series decider, nice venue and good crowd in, unfortunately we couldnāt get it done. We were good in patches, just couldnāt stitch the momentum up in our favor for long enough. The surface didnāt change much throughout the game, thought 290 was very chaseable. We were good with the ball. Not sure the toss played a major factor today. The Test series is very exciting, two great venues for two Test matches in South Africa, doesnāt get much better than that," Markram said.

Thus, both teams will aim to play their best cricket to seal the series as they are set to meet on December 21 at Boland Park in Paarl.
When it comes to the visiting team, the KL Rahul-led side was extremely ordinary in both batting and bowling departments. After losing two early wickets, Sai Sudharsan and KL Rahul took control of the situation as they hit a half-century each but none of the other batters could step up. The focus will be on Sanju Samson in the third ODI. The Kerala-born cricketer needs to have a good time in the middle, otherwise he might get dropped once again.
The Aiden Markram-led side will be much more relaxed. Tony de Zorzi hit a sensational century in the last match while Reeza Hendricks laid the foundation. They have a perfect balance in the batting department while Nandre Burger, Beuran Hendricks, and Keshav Maharaj were very effective with the ball. These three will once again be key for the Proteas as the Indian batters will come hard at them in order to cement their place in the XI.
Probable Playing XI of South Africa and India:
South Africa: Tony de Zorzi, Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram (c), Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj, Nandre Burger, Lizaad Williams, Beuran Hendricks
