The answer all RCB fans
Cameron Green is Player of the Match
Cam Green | Player of the Match: Great game for our team. This year there has been so many high scores and there is little bit something there for the bowler and our bowlers were brilliant from the start. We identified that pace on is easy to play, Khaleel bowled a lot of off-cutters which were gripping and tough to target and we tried the same in our bowling. This is such a small ground and there is something in there for the bowlers which is good to see.
Faf speaks at the post match party
Faf | RCB skipper: Brilliant, we put some good performances and really pleased. 1st half of the season, things didn't quite come together and from that batting perspective and bowling perspective we have been able to put it together now . Sometimes people talk about match-ups and all, but as a left hander with the ball spinning in, you hope that works out sometimes and he's (Swapnil) done brillantly for us. Lot of work has gone behind the scenes, and we are getting it right and I feel there is a lore more variety in our bowling now and Yash and Lockie have been exceptional the last few games. We wanna play a style of cricket, to be bold and put some performances together and keep going.
From the presentation
Lockie Ferguson: We’ve all been working really hard throughout the tournament. Even when we were losing, it was all very even, we were still enjoying ourselves, we knew that things would go right soon. The batters did extremely well, it was gripping a bit more than normal. Looking forward to a few days off and then taking on Chennai. Can be challenging bowling here, been great working with Griffith (bowling coach). Makes it easy when we take wickets throughout.
Axar Patel: Dropped catches hurt us. Could've restricted them to 150. When you lose four wickets in powerplay, you're always chasing the game. 160-170 would've been a par score. Pitch was two-paced. Some were skidding, some were holding. When your main players are run out and you lose four in powerplay, you're chasing the game. Anything can happen, but haven't thought that far ahead.
Done and dusted
Yash Dayal hammers the final nail in the coffin. DC are all out for 140, and RCB win by 47 runs. The Bengaluru boys keep the Playoffs hopes alive, and its been an absolute cracker of a night. RCB are now fifth on the table (sounds shocking, right?) and they have a real chance of making it now. Whatta game!!!
WICKET
MUKESH DEPARTS, and DC are nine down.
17 overs done
DC are 133 for 8.
Axar Patel departs
Skipper Faf du Plessis gets the hold of that one, as Yash Dayal strikes. That will be end of all hopes for the Capitals. After 16 overs, DC are 130 for 8.
WICKET
Cameron Green strikes, as Rasikh Dar makes the long walk back. He gets caught at long on to hand RCB their seventh of the night.
14 overs done
DC are 124 for the loss of six.
HALF-CENTURY
Axar Patel brings up his half-century in style. He will be the key to DC's chances in this game.
13 overs done
Axar is hitting big shots for fun, but how long can he hit it is the question.
12 overs done
DC bring up their 100, but they've lost six wickets in the process. In 48 balls, the Capitals need 88 more runs to win.
WICKET
Tristan Stubbs departs as Cameron Green strikes with a wicket in his second over. Six down for the Capitals, and RCB are breathing fire.
WHAT A CATCH!!!!!!!
Karn Sharma takes a fantastic running catch in the deep send back Shai Hope. A really good catch despite some confusion with other fielder running in. Fifth wicket is down, and DC are in some real trouble now.

Delhi, on the other hand, cannot afford to drop points. They have 12 points to their name in 12 matches and if they win their remaining two matches, the franchise can qualify for the playoffs, but it also depends on their net run rate.
Meanwhile, Delhi will miss the service of their captain Rishabh Pant against Bengaluru. For maintaining a slow-over rate on three different occasions in IPL 2024, Pant has been suspended for one match and will make his return in DC’s final league game. In his absence, David Warner is likely to make his return to the match and lead as well. However, in case the Australian misses out, Axar Patel can be named the skipper.
When it comes to the hosts, they have played some really good cricket in the last few matches. The Faf du Plessis-led side has changed their strategy and is playing an aggressive brand of cricket, which has brought them back to the playoffs race. Virat Kohli, the leading run-scorer of the tournament, made 92 runs in the last match against PBKS, while Rajat Patidar is in brilliant form as well. The bowlers need to improve a bit but overall, they are in good shape to get the win.
