In their second game, Khulna batted brilliantly and chased down a 188-run target against Fortune Barishal, with two overs and eight wickets in the bank.

Rangpur Riders started with a five-wicket defeat against Barishal as they failed to defend a target of 135. However, Nurul Hasan and Co. bounced back with a four-wicket win against Sylhet Strikers in their last game, chasing down a 121-run target with 10 balls to spare.

The caravan has arrived in Sylhet for the first time in the 2024 edition of BPL. Last year, eight matches were held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Khulna recorded the highest first-innings score of 210 but Comilla Victorians chased it down, with seven wickets and 10 balls to spare. The average first-innings score was 163. Six out of the eight games were won by teams batting second. The pitch is expected to be balanced as there will be enough assistance for batters as well as bowlers. The 30-year-old off-spinner had a fabulous start to the campaign, as he dismissed four out of the top five batters in the Chattogram Challengers line-up and finished with awe-inspiring figures of 4/12 in his four overs. Khulna's second game was a high-scoring affair but Nahidul held his own. The Khulna-born could not pick up a wicket but he conceded just 23 runs in his four-over spell.
