NZ vs SL Match Prediction - Who will win today's 3rd ODI match between New Zealand vs Sri Lanka?
New Zealand are leading 1-0 in the series.
After decimating Sri Lanka (SL) in the first ODI of the series, some of the key players in the Kiwi camp have left the national team in order to take part in the coveted Indian Premier League. Notably, the second match of the series was called off due to rain and thus, the third and final match will eventually decide the fate of the series, as it is slated to take place on Friday, March 31, at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

Coming to Sri Lanka’s performance in the first match, the Dasun Shanaka-led side was very poor with the bat. Only three of their batters managed to score in double digits as New Zealand pacer Henry Shipley wreaked havoc, picking up a five-for in return. Meanwhile, the bowlers have done a good job as Chamika Karunaratne picked up four while Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha picked up two wickets each.
Meanwhile, the Tom Latham-led side struggled to get going with the bat, but they eventually posted a respectable total of 274 runs. Opener Finn Allen posted 51 off 49 deliveries while Rachin Ravindra hit 49 off 52 deliveries. However, with Allen not available for the third match, Mark Chapman may get an opportunity in the next match. When it comes to bowlers, they are more or less sorted with Shipley leading the charge.

NZ vs SL Probable Best Performers
Probable best batter
Daryl Mitchell:
The experienced batting all-rounder Daryl Mitchell was sensational in the first match, scoring 47 off 58 deliveries. He was the third-leading run-scorer of the team and also picked up two wickets with the ball. Thus, Mitchell will possess a lot of threats in the forthcoming match as well.
Probable best bowler
Henry Shipley:
The 26-year-old clinched five wickets in the first match and with the conditions favouring the bowlers in Hamilton, Shipley is likely to dominate again. Meanwhile, if he once again lives up to the expectations, Shipley can very well buy himself a ticket to India for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
