Aakash Chopra picks his Indian playing eleven for five-match T20I series
The India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series has been announced with Suryakumar Yadav leading the side. There are some young and promising players on the side which the people will be looking forward to in the upcoming series where they will be up against some great English players.
The series is just 10 days away and there are already experts who have shared their opinions on which players will be featuring in the playing eleven. This is a very young Indian side that will look to keep their dominance in the shorter format of the game. Former India opening batter and commentator Aakash Chopra has also picked his own playing eleven who he thinks will feature in the matches.

Chopra has picked Sanju Samson as the wicketkeeper and opener in the side along with the young swashbuckling all-rounder Abhishek Sharma. Tilak Varma and Skipper Suryakumar Yadav will be the next two batters to form the top order. The middle order consists of Hardik Pandya, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rinku Singh, and Axar Patel who he has shockingly picked as his vice-captain ahead of Pandya. The tail in the eleven includes mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh.
The Indian team finished the 2024 season as the number-one team and have only lost one match in the last three T20I series they have played. The last series saw them beat South Africa in their home ground by a margin of 3-1 where Tilak Varma was the player of the series. This was also the series where the Indian team set their highest total in T20 internationals where they scored 283 runs in the fourth T20I and Tilak scored a magnificent century scoring 120 runs from just 47 deliveries striking at 255.31. This was also the biggest defeat for the Rainbow Nation in terms of runs.
