Amazon Prime Video launched a docuseries in 2020 named ‘The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team on the Australian Men’s Team, focusing on their journey to the peak. In a piece of great news, the Australian cricket fans will get to see more of the team’s journey as the platform announced the second season of the docuseries.

The first season of the docuseries was a behind-the-scenes look at how one of the world’s best cricket teams- Australia- fell from grace and was forced to reclaim their title and integrity. The second season of the documentary "The Test" will concentrate on the transformation from the Tim Paine and Justin Langer era and the restructuring of Australia's Test team under Pat Cummins.

The four-part second season, which will premiere in early 2023 and will take spectators inside the hive mind of the Australian men's Test team- from Paine's resignation, the epic 4-0 Ashes series victory, Langer's departure, and the historic tour of Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Travis Head raises eyebrows by launching his bat across the Galle dressing room in a teaser released today in conjunction with Prime Video's showcase event. Nathan Lyon and David Warner are also shown yelling in the dressing room in Galle, Sri Lanka, where the two Tests of a tied series were played.

The frustration, hard-work, and the sweet taste of success

David Warner is seen slamming a refrigerator door, cursing, and then throwing a water bottle he just picked up at a wall. Lyon, in a Pakistani dressing room, declares that the unnamed match currently taking place is "the worst I've ever been involved in." High-scoring draws occurred in the tests played in Rawalpindi and Karachi, with the Karachi Test being particularly painful for the Australians because they had a commanding first-innings lead until Pakistan batted out 171 overs to force a tie.

In the sneak peak, Mitchell Marsh is heard saying “We don't own the Baggy Green. We understand the privilege we have to wear the Baggy Green” at the start of the video, and the video ends with his voice in the narration as he adds: “We have a direction we want to go. Like, this is Pat's team. And this is our team.”

Season two of The Test is described as: “An intimate side to the Australian men’s cricket team as they strive to be the best in the world, in the face of disruptive leadership changes and an insight into modern leadership and empowerment at the highest level of the sport.”
