AUS vs IND 2024: Team bus leaves without Yashasvi Jaiswal as he comes late
Yashasvi Jaiswal came out of the team hotel in Adelaide around 20 minutes after the team bus left for the airport.
Team India took a flight to Brisbane on Wednesday, December 11, as they left their hotel in Adelaide, early in the morning. The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25) will be played at the iconic Gabba, in the River City, starting on Saturday, December 14.
Interestingly, the bus carrying the Indian players to the airport left without Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Mumbai batter was late to come out of the team hotel and it seemed that this irked Captain Rohit Sharma. The bus was expected to begin its journey towards the airport at around 8:30 am, as per local time.
They had a flight to Brisbane scheduled for 10:05 am. From around 8:20 am, the Indian contingent started boarding the bus. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal was nowhere to be seen. As per Ray Sportz Cricket, after waiting for a few minutes near the gate of the bus, Rohit stepped down and had a word with the team manager and the liaison officer. After the brief conversation, the 37-year-old stepped back into the bus.
Soon, the vehicle left for the airport at around 8:50 am without Yashasvi. The left-handed batter walked outside the hotel around five minutes after the bus had departed. He boarded a car along with the team's security officer and started his journey towards the airport.

India look to restore lead in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25
Team India had a fantastic start to the BGT 2024-25 as they won the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth, by a comprehensive margin of 295 runs. However, they couldn't double their lead as Australia bounced back strongly to win the second Test at the Adelaide Oval last week by 10 wickets.
The five-match series is intriguingly poised at 1-1 after the first two games. The third Test is going to be crucial as both teams would want to take the ascendancy. India will have fond memories of their last Test assignment at the Gabba. They defeated the Aussies in January 2021 by three wickets to register a historic series win.
